Dozens of solar powered homes and businesses across Connecticut will be open to the public on Saturday October 3 from 10:00am-4:00pm as part of Solar Tour'09 presented regionally by the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) and in Connecticut by the non-profit organization Solar Connecticut, Inc. This free event provides the public with an opportunity to experience solar electric and solar thermal (hot-water) power, daylighting, and other green and renewable technologies. Property owners who own/lease solar systems will be on hand along solar installers to describe how solar technology works, what it costs, and why it makes sense.
